COBERG Sp. z o.o. is implementing the project “Promotion of new products and entry into new markets through participation in industry trade fairs”.

The project is implemented under the “Export vouchers” initiative, which forms part of “InterGlobal – internationalisation of SMEs from the Śląskie Voivodeship”, co-funded by the European Funds for Śląskie 2021–2027 programme.

Project objective

The main objective is to develop COBERG Sp. z o.o.’s export activities by entering new foreign markets, promoting new products and increasing the share of export sales in the company’s revenue.

Activities will focus on promoting the company’s agricultural machinery components, particularly its new product – the MA03 manure spreader adapter with a COBERG gearbox – and the related product group of gearboxes for manure spreader adapters.

Project scope

The project includes COBERG Sp. z o.o.’s participation as an exhibitor in two international trade fairs:

National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, United States, scheduled for 10–13 February 2027;
Agritechnica in Hanover, Germany, scheduled for 14–20 November 2027.

The project provides in particular for:

rental and preparation of exhibition space;
transport and accommodation arrangements for company representatives;
presentation of COBERG products to potential customers and business partners;
business discussions with agricultural machinery manufacturers, OEM customers, distributors and integrators;
promotion of the COBERG brand in the German and US markets;
acquisition of new contacts and development of direct international sales channels.

Target groups

Project activities are primarily aimed at:

foreign agricultural machinery manufacturers;
customers and partners operating in OEM and ODM models;
distributors of agricultural machinery components and spare parts;
integrators and business partners operating in the German and US markets;
businesses interested in implementing gearboxes, adapters and other components manufactured by COBERG.

Expected project results

Implementation of the project is expected to achieve in particular:

entry into the German and US markets with a new product;
establishment of a direct sales channel for COBERG products in the United States;
expansion of the company’s export portfolio in the German market;
establishment of business relationships with at least 15 potential business partners from the USA and Germany;
receipt of at least 3 partnership or distribution proposals;
increased recognition of the COBERG brand in foreign markets;
a stronger competitive position for the company;
increased revenue from international sales in the period following completion of the project.

Eligible expenditure: PLN 138,099.86
Grant awarded: PLN 124,289.87
Funding rate: up to 90% of eligible expenditure
Project implementation period: 1 August 2026 – 31 December 2027

Project completed — COBERG drive axles and new testing capabilities

We have completed the project that enabled COBERG to introduce complete drive axles with three bevel gearboxes for manure spreaders and expand our manufacturing and testing capabilities.

The new product is a complete drive assembly comprising a central gearbox and two side gearboxes. The range is intended for manufacturers, distributors and users of agricultural machinery in Poland and abroad.

The project included a dynamometer test rig for gearboxes and complete drive axles. Expanding our own testing facilities supports product development and the selection of solutions for specific machines.

COBERG has completed the project “Zakup specjalistycznych urządzeń do obróbki metalu w celu wprowadzenia nowego produktu do oferty firmy” (purchase of specialist metalworking equipment to introduce a new product to the company’s range). The key information and results are presented below.

The project was co-funded under European Funds for Silesia 2021–2027 (Just Transition Fund), Priority FESL.10.00 — European Funds for Transition, Action FESL.10.03 — Support for SMEs for Transition.

Project title

“Zakup specjalistycznych urządzeń do obróbki metalu w celu wprowadzenia nowego produktu do oferty firmy” (purchase of specialist metalworking equipment to introduce a new product to the company’s range).

Tasks and activities

The project equipped the company with key fixed assets forming an integrated production process for the new product. The investment included the purchase and commissioning of:

a 4-axis vertical machining centre,
a conventional lathe,
a test station with a dynamometer,
a photovoltaic installation supplying renewable energy for production at the facility.

The equipment enabled production of a new product: drive axles comprising three bevel gearboxes for manure spreaders.

The project also introduced circular economy measures: the lathe is used to process leftover steel bars from production for reuse in manufacturing.

Target group

The results primarily serve the agricultural machinery and equipment market, including:

manufacturers and integrators of agricultural machinery and components,
distributors, agricultural machinery service providers and repair workshops,
farms and operators of manure spreaders as end users,
domestic and international customers who value component consistency, quality and durability, as well as reliable supply supported by reduced dependence on external mould suppliers.

Project objective

The objective was to expand the company’s range with products it had not previously manufactured, through the purchase of specialist metalworking equipment and the launch of drive axle production using bevel gearboxes. The project also covered:

material reuse and waste reduction, particularly for leftover steel bars,
renewable energy for production from the photovoltaic installation,
new jobs needed to operate the purchased machines.

Project results

The project delivered development and environmental benefits, including:

one new product in the range — drive axles with bevel gearboxes for manure spreaders — supporting production diversification and greater competitiveness,
greater manufacturing independence and flexibility, including the ability to manufacture components and moulds in-house using the machining centre,
circular economy measures: leftover steel bars and shafts are machined again on the purchased lathe and reused in production. The project documentation assumed approximately 10 tonnes of this waste per year and the potential to reuse approximately 70% of that quantity,
improved energy efficiency and reduced emissions through the use of photovoltaic energy,
two new jobs: a lathe operator and a milling machine operator.
